HealthQuest

Come spend a week at Ithaca College!
This summer, explore careers in health care, health, sport, and leisure while making new friends and enjoying a college campus experience. HealthQuest is a week-long career exploration camp for students entering grades 10 through 12 in the fall of 2008.
HealthQuest will be held at Ithaca College's School of Health Sciences and Human Performance from July 7-11, 2008 in Ithaca, New York. HealthQuest is co-sponsored by CNYAHEC, Ithaca College, and Excellus BlueCross BlueShield.
What is HealthQuest all about?
HealthQuest offers a week of hands-on activities and classes to introduce students to the relationship between science, the health professions, and health career opportunities while becoming familiar with the hospital and college campus settings. Most students attending camp have already identified a strong interest in math and science and are considering college to become a health professional in medicine, nursing, or other allied health professions.
HealthQuest allows students to:
- explore a variety of health careers through interactive workshops
- learn from health professionals and college instructors
- identify the skills needed for careers in health care
- learn about existing science research projects and participate in related activities
- experience dorm living and campus life
HealthQuest focuses on these academic programs:
- Clinical Exercise Science
- Athletic Training
- Physical Therapy
- Occupational Therapy
- Therapeutic Recreation
- Recreation Management
- Social Work
- Clinical Laboratory Sciences
- Gerontology
- Community Health Education
