Welcome to CNYAHEC!

CNYAHEC remains poised to make great strides in its mission to improve access to high-quality health care by promoting improvements in the supply, training, development, and distribution of health care professionals in our 14-county Central New York region.

Our menu of products and services incudes:

My Health Career® Version 3.0, an upgraded version of our health careers exploration website, now offering more tools and options for students and career seekers.
Recruitment Zones are offered to health care facilities, academic institutions, and other health-related organizations in our region. A function of My Health Career®, Recruitment Zones are trackable mini-websites that health care related facilities can use to promote themselves and target potential employees.
InService Solutions is growing and becoming even more comprehensive and efficient in offering on-line inservice training to health care facilities. Created by health professionals for health professionals, InService Solutions is truly a smart, affordable way for health care facilities to meet their inservice needs.
Exploring the Health Professions, a curriculum kit for secondary school teachers to promote and explore health care careers with their students by conducting hands-on activities in the classroom.

Our health careers exploration camps were a big hit once again this year! We reached over 300 junior high and high school students through fourteen M.A.S.H. camps at participating area hospitals, HealthQuest at Ithaca College, MedQuest at SUNY Upstate Medical University, and Natalie's Knee at Utica College. We also hosted several conferences and educational trainings in 2009 for health care professionals in our region, including workshops in stress management and nutrition.

CNYAHEC looks forward to becoming an even greater presence in the Central New York region as the staff continues working toward the optimal health and wellness of our communities by helping to develop and maintain a competent and satisfied high-quality health care workforce…from pipeline to practice!
